What 2016 has taught Me

In less than 12 hrs or so from now 2017 will finally kick in! Still a working day for me tho and definitely one of the many blessings I should be thankful of. It wasn't smooth sailing but I am able to managed and survived. If I'd look back at the months that had passed I can only smile I managed to get until chapter 12 page 366 of this book! ( ansabe?) 2016 is still a good year, for I have been blessed with good health, family, and  friends.

"It's not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters"

At 30 I supposed to have a stable career, a good balance in my bank book and perhaps my own house- well that's what I dreamed of at least. But like always, some things will not go according to how we want it to be, at times we need to sacrifice a little to give way for God's plan in our lives. I may not have those things that I wanted at least I have my family with, maybe not complete but we are overflowing with love. I am happy that each Christmas and New Year since 2010 we start and end the year together with my siblings and my father. Not so long ago, this was just in my imagination.
I still have so much wish for my family, but I believe one day soon it will all come true, it is only a matter of when.

One of the many blessings that I received this is year as well was being reconnected to my mother's side relatives, I had never heard of them since I was 10, thankfully because of the modern technology - facebook to be exact my cousin Jeia found us. For now I am so looking forward to be reunited with them in flesh, ^_^

few of my cousins from mother's side that I have yet to meet in person ^_^
"There are some people in life that make you LAUGH a little louder, SMILE a little bigger, and LIVE just a little bit better"

Somehow I could claim that I am blessed with the kind of friends I have in my life,And my 2016 won't be amazing as it without these amazing people whom I shared this year's journey with.

my list could go on with the people I am blessed to have with in my life, these are just few of the family I choose to be with  <3 <3 <3
"Don't wait for perfection before you start. Start somewhere so you can have something tangible you can work to perfect"

This year I took the courage to start something new again, it has been on my mind for so long and I was really hesitant about it. When your mind is clouded with all the negative thoughts and what ifs all you need is just one person who'll believe in you and trust that you will be able to do, gratefully I was able to have that one person in my life, thus last December 8 our little online business was launched. Wherever this would lead us, that I will be looking forward in this coming year with great hope!

Buffet Raid ala Mokz

I can give up buying new clothes, much more gadgets but never will I give up on food - that's pretty obvious with my baby fats😁.

I am normally "tihik/ kuripot" but when it comes to food nahhh! I could spend more than what I am earning on a daily basis, if I won't control myself.
But that wasn"t the case last Thursday, Dec. 15,2016 as we got a treat of more than 5bucks dinner,@ Manuel's Restaurant in  Cebu Parklane Hotel. For someone like me who is contented at carenderia food & fast food chain value meal , a diner at a hotel is definitely a luxury, therefore I have to make extra sulit!
1st plate: soup & main course right away
white rice - the essential
spare ribs - the "bomb" legit!
roasted chicken w/ raisin - nothing extra ordinary except it has raisins
chopsuey - don't want to get veggies can't turn away from my favourite

2nd plate: it's all about sushi
too bad I did get the name of all these but I fall in love with these. I did not like these when I first came there but I guess this time around my taste buds have improve
3rd plate : dessert round 1

and for the last panghimagas , halo-halo it is!

food display

Was it all worth it? Definitely it was, been there twice now and I would love to come again, but first I wish to try another place next time

Food tastes so much better when shared and so my date for that night...

Exploring New Horizons

A colleague of mine once told how she wish she's like me, " a risk taker" and I was like.....

I don't really consider myself like one.

I've been  technically  working for a decade now, and in that length of time I had work with two employers yet, with my first one  that I worked for with no less than 7 years, 3 years and counting with my current.Maybe it can be considered as loyalty, but honestly I am just afraid to get out in the open. It can be a good thing for my portfolio maybe but with the intense competition out there it can not fill the void of not having a diploma.

I am someone whose afraid to get out of my comfort zone,I am gonna hold on until the very end of the string, just like what I have been doing now.

To be perfectly  blunt about it,  I am barely managing with my current job there has been countless of times that I've been disappointed and discouraged with, and has been advised by my good friend to get out there and find a new job, yet still here I am. Talk about stubbornness

On the other side, I have a lot business ideas on my mind but yet to execute it....the literally all are just but plans #procrastination
Until finally, I was like hit by a strong volt of lightning in a flash I've made a solid business plan ( char.com.choss). It is just but a dream but I am now working it  out with a good partner and hopefully very soon we can start kickin'.

I am not leaving my comfort zone yet ,but  hopefully this one is the right way towards that exit door.

Watch out for the launch of ......very....very soon

My first set of paint brush ^_^

Back in high school I got a cosmetology class,  where we're asked to choose a model for us to put make up on.  I can still remember how some of my friends tried to Convince me to  have my eyebrows plucked or shaved,  well to brag a little I got a good shape of eyebrows lol!, back the "in" thing for kilay is what we called as "kilay 2000" or as we call it in the countryside, it was a little so very little natural brows, usually curved almost a little C or a somewhat a straight line and that's why I really didn't like the idea. Ohhh well I was so Maria Clara back then....not that I am not right now

Recently I am into watching YouTube make up tutorials, at first it was all for some sort of killing time work's lunch breaktime when I don't feel like taking a nap. Until one day I finally got my eyebrow shaved, well I had it shaved before but it grew back to how it was coz I was just too lazy
and really don't have the talent to maintain it. Until just recently...
and now I am kind a so into it.  Learned to handle  brushes now, mix and blend eyebrow / eye shadow colors and yes I now know about #eyebrowonfleek.
my first and only set of brushes ^_^

My little pink notebook

With how easy it is nowadays to just download ebooks or even watch youtube videos with the rise of smartphone and free data or even just buy cookbook from any bookstore for convenience somehow I still have the heart for personalize stuffs just like this one. Old school is cool, isn't it?

I had this notebook for like a year ,  got some recipes written on it before and I've been thinking of adding some pictures on it, to make it prettier or much interesting and finally I made it today. Saturday at work is kind a relax day for us, firstly it's because the cats are away and lately I don't pressure myself much into it, so yeah it's kinda chill and that is why I am able to finally made my thoughts of a personal recipe book materialize.

And so here are some of the recipes  which of course not mine just copied it from the internet and most likely these are the food I love to eat and had cooked

1. Anything about rice " recipes"

Prawn & Egg fried Rice

Breakfast Congee
2. Pancake - Sandwich - Cookies

avocado egg sandwich

3.pork & veggies

pork menudo

veggie wrap & smoothies

Now that's all for my little arts & crafts ^_^

travelling through my eyes

If there’s one thing I would really really love to do right now, that will be traveling around the world! But of course my circumstances won’t let me yet, not in the near future as well. Of course I don’t need to hop in the plane to roam around coz in my very own province “CEBU”, there is so much for me to explore. But a world that is composed of 7 continents, 196 countries, I doubt I can explore all the beautiful places even if I got the money.

Well, big thanks to today’s technology, somehow I am still able to enjoy these beautiful places and the limit is up to my imagination.

Actually, most of these places I discovered by watching Korean Variety Shows, kind of being so into K-wave these days for a couple of years already to be exact.

Dune 45 Sossuvlei Namibia-. Called as such because lies 45 km past Sesriem on the road to Sossusvlei. It is 80 meters high and it is composed of 5-million-year-old sands. Source: wikipedia

Etosha National Park - is a national park in northwestern Namibia. The park is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, including several threatened and endangered species such as the black rhinoceros. Source: Wikipedia

Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa Tunya - is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.. The falls are formed as the full width of the river plummets in a single vertical drop into a transverse chasm 1708 metres (5604 ft) wide, carved by its waters along a fracture zone in the basalt plateau. Found these three paradise from Youth Over Flowers  Africa feat the boys from Reply 1988 ( Park Bogum, Ryu Jun-yeol, Go Kyung-pyo & Ahn Jae-hong ). How magnificent the Lord’s creation! Right? If I get a chance to travel Africa should be at my top list.

Glass Skywalk / “the Walk of Faith” Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, China - part of the cliff-hanging walkway, and is the highest section. The skywalk is 60 meters long, with a width of 1.6 meters. Source : www.chinahighlights.com

I kind a have fear over extreme heights, but still dreamed to walk on this glass skywalk,  I can imagine the how frightening this can be, but would definitely love the  thrill. I’ve heard this in the news before, where it was reported that the glass cracked. I didn’t pay much attention until I saw this on Kvariety show on MBC “WE got Married” feat. Virtual couple Cao lu & Jo se Ho.

Northern Lights in Lapland Finland
Found this one while watching “We Are in Love” the Chinese version on Korean Variety Show “We Got Married”. It features my girl crush in K – variety Song Ji Hyo of Running Man.

If I'd be born again, I must visit these places but for now I'll have to be contented in admiring these picturesque scenery through photos and videos.^_^
